For the uninitiated, the Gulag in Call of Duty: Warzone is where players go when they die for the first time in a battle royale match. Upon arrival, Call of Duty: Warzone players have to win a 1v1 match against an opponent to earn their way back into the battle royale match. Winning a Gulag match can save one’s team a lot of cash, and so the Gulag is one of the game’s most important features. Unfortunately for TheWobblyGamer, their recent Gulag match went off the rails as the map seemingly disappeared around them.

In the bizarre Warzone glitch, much of the Gulag disappears, replaced by a black void. TheWobblyGamer can still see some of the objects in the Gulag, like lockers, but otherwise most everything else is invisible to them. Enemy players are actually highlighted gold in this glitch, almost looking like Assassin’s Creed’s Eagle Vision, but TheWobblyGamer was still at a major disadvantage as it was impossible for them to tell if they were shooting at the enemy or an invisible wall.

Luckily, it seems this Call of Duty: Warzone glitch will be fixed sooner rather than later. TheWobblyGamer’s tweet got the attention of Infinity Ward’s communications manager, who stated that the “right teams” will be taking a look at the footage. This particular Warzone Gulag glitch doesn’t seem to be nearly as widespread as some of the other glitches that have plagued the battle royale, though, so it’s hard to say just how much priority it will be given.

Infinity Ward releases new Call of Duty: Warzone updates on a regular basis, though, so it’s possible a fix could come as early as this week. The next Warzone update is expected to come on Tuesday, May 26, and an even bigger update is believed to be coming next week as well.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is expected to start some time next week, with the general consensus being that it will kick off on June 3. Whether or not that comes to pass remains to be seen, but Warzone players should stay tuned for more information.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
