In a short trailer, developer Glob Games highlights the basic concept of MicroMan. In the game, a janitor is shrunk down to basically the size of an ant, and then he has to survive in the world. The trailer shows bits of gameplay, with Honey, I Shrunk the Kids-like set-pieces throughout, including the titular MicroMan having to avoid being stepped on and interacting with giant animals. More specifically, the trailer shows him getting a quest from a rabbit, flying on the wings of a butterfly, fighting off an ant with a fork, and running away from a hedgehog.

So far, reception to the MicroMan trailer has been mixed. The trailer 352 likes on YouTube versus 220 dislikes, with people praising the concept of the game, but criticizing its graphics and gameplay. Luckily, MicroMan appears to still be early in development, so there is plenty of time for the developers to adjust accordingly.

In fact, MicroMan isn’t even due out on PC until the second half of 2021, and will be coming to the next-generation consoles at some point after that. Hopefully future MicroMan trailers are a little more well-received.

MicroMan will launch in the second half of 2021 for PC, with a release on PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X to follow.
