That value means that neither Oculus nor third-party retailers are offering heavy discounts on the Quest 2 this Black Friday, but there are a few participating in a promotion that’ll net you either a £50/$50 retailer voucher or Oculus Store voucher depending on where you buy the headset.
The voucher will be sent via email in the days after your purchase, and can be redeemed at checkout at most online retailers.
While retailer vouchers are handy, you’ve also got the option of getting a £50/$50 Oculus Store voucher with Quest 2 purchases from Oculus.com in the UK and US. It might be the better option if you’re new to the world of virtual reality, allowing you to grab a few free games and apps from the Oculus Store to kickstart your collection.

The promotion runs until 23:59 on 29 November 2021 (though it does vary depending on retailer) so if you were planning on getting the Quest 2 this Black Friday, you’d better get moving.
It’s a great buy too; in our five-star Oculus Quest 2 review, we described the standalone headset as “the headset to go buy if you’ve been waiting to go all-in on VR” complementing the improved design and ergonomics compared to its predecessor, along with better optics, more processing power and the ability to double up as a PC VR headset without the need for cables.
“It’s the most versatile VR headset available in 2021, and with a shockingly low £299/$299 price tag, it’s not hard to imagine how popular this headset is going to be.”
Simply put, if you’re on the market for a VR headset this Black Friday, you won’t find better than the Quest 2.
