To get the alien Ray Gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode, players need to head to an area with zombies. Zombies spawn at the Asylum basically every match, but they can also spawn in other areas, particularly where there is a bright light in the sky. Players can follow that light to find the mystery box as well as a small herd of zombies.
By killing all of the zombies here, the mystery box will open and grant players access to some powerful weapons, armor, and gear. However, it doesn’t appear as though the Ray Gun comes from the mystery box. In our experience, we had to kill additional zombies that spawned and dropped rare items, including the Ray Gun, so players will want to sit tight and keep an eye out for more zombies to kill.
As previously stated, the Ray Gun is one of the best guns that players can get in Black Ops 4’s Black out mode. Even though it’s kind of slow compared to other weapons in the game, it’s a one-hit kill, and can be especially devastating if players manage to get a jump on their enemies.
The Ray Gun isn’t the only powerful weapon Black Ops 4 players should try to collect. There’s also the KN-57, the Outlaw, and a number of other great weapons that they should keep an eye out for while out on the battle royale battlefield. Plus, there’s some other Zombies-related weapons to collect as well, like the cymbal monkeys that can be used to attract hordes of undead to enemy players.
In the future, it’s possible the Blackout map will change to add more Zombies areas or items, but in the meantime, fans can make sure to add the powerful Ray Gun to their arsenal.
