Although one of the nine unlockable zombies characters are only available through purchase of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s season pass, the remaining eight do not require any purchases. These eight can be obtained through playing Blackout matches and completing hidden challenges in a specific order.
To unlock Dempsey, one must first enter a Blackout match and find a Death Machine Mini Gun. Although it may take multiple matches and a considerable amount of time to find the Mini Gun, players can rest assured that procuring the Mini Gun is the toughest part. After obtaining a Mini Gun, players must then kill multiple zombies. Once the player has killed zombies, all they need to do is finish the match in the top 10.
There are five zombie spawn locations that are all marked by a blue beam in the sky, but some are more populated than others. To do this challenge, it is recommended to land at one of the less-populated locations. Anvil Boxing Gym, the largest building halfway between Fracking Tower and Turbine, as well as the unnamed small building northwest of Array and above Nuketown Island are both viable options.
Alternatively, if a player would rather take a risk and land somewhere that may be a little more crowded, Asylum, Graveyard, and Lighthouse are also infected by ravenous zombies. But if a player chooses to land at Graveyard, the Zombie boss known as Blightfather may interfere with the challenge.
While encountering opponents in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 seems inevitable while tackling this challenge, players can counteract this by hugging the outside of the circle for as long as possible in order to safely finish in the top 10. Of course, the amount of risk willing to be taken is entirely up to the player.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
