For the uninitiated, Black Ops 2 introduced The Replacer in a trailer for its DLC package known as Revolution a few years ago, and the character became somewhat of a fan-favorite, particularly due to his brash antics and uncaring attitude. For instance, the most recent iteration of The Replacer has him haphazardly filling in for an ambulance driver, flirting with a girlfriend’s mom, and relieving himself on a neighbor’s lawn as he takes over someone’s dog-walking duties....

In Blackout, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players may notice a mysterious light in the sky. Just like on Zombies maps, this light indicates the location of the mystery box, and if players head there, they will find not only a classic-style mystery box (complete with teddy bear), but an area swarming with zombies. Since players don’t earn points in Blackout like they do in Zombies, some may be confused about how they can actually go about opening the mystery box, but the solution is actually rather simple....

Like other playable characters in Blackout, Ruin has a special item on the map that players have to find before they can worry about his challenges, with his being the Punching Mitts. The Punching Mitts reportedly spawn in three different areas around the map: on top of the Asylum, on top of the Lighthouse, and on top of the crane at the Construction Site. Players will want to land in one of those three areas if they hope to collect the Punching Mitts before any other players get their paws on them....

When Treyarch announced that it would be substituting out its conventional single-player campaign for a battle royale mode, many fans and reporters speculated that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 would see a hit in sales. The assistant coach, Brad Aldrich, was accused of sexually assaulting a player during the NHL team’s 2010 championship run. Wirtz wrote in a letter to Hall of Fame Chairman Lanny McDonald that Aldrich’s alleged actions should exclude him from inclusion on the Cup. “I am humbly requesting that the Hockey Hall of Fame consider ‘x-ing’ out his name on the Stanley Cup,” Wirtz wrote. “While nothing can undo what he did, leaving his name on the most prestigious trophy in sports seems profoundly wrong....

Dwayne Johnson is taking on the role of Black Adam, and it’s allowing the actor the ability to shed a sort of typecasting as “the hero.” The Rock’s first entry into the DCEU will see him play Black Adam, who happens to be one of the more powerful villains in that universe. Former Washington County deputies Henry Lee Copeland, Michael Howell and Rhett Scott, all white, are on trial for the murder of Eurie Martin, 58, who died after the officers allegedly shocked him repeatedly with stun guns. John Durden, the agent, told jurors that the three former deputies should not have stopped and detained Martin and that he should have been permitted to keep walking, local news outlets reported. “I don’t think there was a crime, enough to stop him for reasonable suspicion,” said Durden, who was brought into the trial as an expert on use-of-force training, according to the AP....

According to the ACLU, Robert Williams was arrested on his own front lawn in front of his two young daughters and held under police custody for 30 hours after he was wrongfully arrested on January 9. Police had been looking for a “watch thief,” the ACLU said in an account of events shared with Newsweek. After running images captured through the watch shop’s surveillance feed, Williams’ driver’s license was matched with the footage, along with a number of others....

Menendez, perhaps best known for his rage-fueled machete massacre in Black Ops 2, joins the likes of Alex Mason, Woods, and Reznov as Black Ops “icons” that are now playable in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Blackout players can unlock Menendez similarly to how every other character is unlocked in the game, and that’s by finding an item related to the character, and then completing a set of challenges before ending the match with it in one’s inventory....

Figuring out which weapon are the best in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is made even more difficult thanks to most of the guns looking similar to one another.
